My Chemical Romance and Mike Pedicone part ways.

Following a sensational weekend for My Chemical Romance that saw them not only headline Reading and Leeds Festivals and perform with Queen’s Brian May, but declare those shows to be the favourites of their career, trouble has struck the MCR camp. Guitarist Frank Iero took to the band’s official website to announce that the band are parting ways with replacement of Bob Bryar, Mike Pedicone. Frank says:

The relationship between My Chemical Romance and Michael Pedicone is over. He was caught red handed stealing from the band and confessed to police after our show last night in Auburn, Washington. We are heartbroken and sick to our stomachs over this entire situation. The band has no intention of pressing charges or taking this matter any further than we have to. We just want him out of our lives. The people who play in this band are a family, and family should not take advantage of each other like he did.
He also added that they are seeking an immediate replacement as they continue the Honda Civic Tour alongside pop-punk titans Blink 182. Mike Pedicone has taken to his Twitter briefly regarding the incident, citing:
What happened is more complicated than it sounds but I did make a mistake. It was never my intention to hurt this band or all of you. It was an error in judgement based on a whole other situation that’s way deeper but this does not define me.
As to who the replacement will be, no one is sure yet. Nor is it known whether the replacement will be temporary to complete touring commitments or become a member of the band. More to come when known. Who do you think should replace Mike?
