Weekly recommendations #5.

To see last week’s recommendations go here and to see all previous recommendations go here. We’ve got a nice little mix for you this week, admittedly with contributions from some friends…

1. Japanese Voyeurs – ‘Milk Teeth’. After reviewing the band’s fantastic album ‘Yolk’ (You can see our review here), we couldn’t not have them in our recommendations for this week. We also highly recommend you check out their full album.

2. Unearth – ‘Eyes of Black’. With their new album ‘Darkness In The Light’ recently dropped into the world, it’s time you check out Unearth.

3. Sixx:AM –  ‘Lies of the Beautiful People’. Made up of Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx, Guns N’ Roses’ DJ Ashba and well known record producer James Michael, Sixx:AM are a band you should definitely check out, if you haven’t had the chance to already.

4. KISS – ‘I Pledge Allegiance To The State of Rock ‘n’ Roll’. They’ve not made an appearance these last four weeks, but it’s about time KISS make an appearance. So, enjoy.

5. Weezer – ‘Pork and Beans’. If you weren’t able to catch Weezer on their recent UK/festival shows, you missed out! So here’s a little bit of Weezer to get you through the day. This one was chosen mainly because of the video and the sad fact we can tell 99% of the Youtube references…

6. Iron Maiden – ‘Wasted Years’. Since the mighty Iron Maiden are in the midst of their latest UK tour, we thought they made the cut for this week’s recommendations. (As if they don’t make the cut every other week just for being Iron Maiden…)

7. Taking Back Sunday – ‘A Decade Under The Influence’. With their new album out recently (You can read our review here!) and more UK dates coming up in just a few weeks, we decided to wrap up with some TBS. Cue nostalgia trip…
